We’re on a mission folks:

Why we started You Now Initiative

You Now provides individuals with funding for a wide variety of wellness programs to harmonize technological advancement and human flourishing.

We aren’t fans of unproductive screen time, social media, and a sedentary lifestyle. Beyond leading to disease and depression, these things have one thing in common:

They’re negative externalities of technological innovation and the attention economy.

Rather than demonize the algorithm, we will evolve alongside it.

By reducing cost as a barrier to entry, we aim to provide people with opportunities to explore movement and stillness in ways they actually enjoy. Many people would much rather rot on the couch than take up free exercise, like running, and we don’t blame them. Free exercise sucks.

So, we give our participants a glimpse into what health and wellness should be. Something personal, something enjoyable. Something affordable.

Resisting the Attention Economy and Unconscious Conditioning

Rapid technological innovation and the attention economy have had negative impacts on the mental health, physical health, and attention of the masses. We become unhealthier, more depressed, and weaker as a species each day due to unchecked technological innovation. Instead of impeding technological progress, we emphasize conscious evolution/change within ourselves. You Now will not only financially incentivize the public to take their health into their own hands, it will also make specialized exercise/meditation more accessible to everyone around the world.

We aim promote economic growth by filling studios in the wellness sphere, and reducing reliance on healthcare and pharmaceutical companies. This will allow both you and me to evolve alongside technology, mitigating the negative, addictive effects of the Attention Economy and social media. Let’s reconnect with people, the body, and meditation to flourish alongside technology.

We’re aiming for a Medicine 3.0 renaissance.

Our Founder

My name is Thaddeus and I grew up in an LB household. That’s low-budget for those that don’t know. (Nope, not me in the photo)

Although I wanted to play sports growing up, we simply couldn’t afford it. So I turned to the next best thing for a kid, videogames. I fell into a sedentary lifestyle. We’re talkin’ over 1,000 hours in League of Legends. I fell into depression, anxiety, and a lack of self-confidence. I mean who wouldn’t when you’re scrolling social media during your formative years, only seeing the best moments of everyone’s lives?

Even now, I meet grown men and women selling their souls from the hours of 9 - 5 only to live paycheck to paycheck. I meet single parents who lack community due to the paywall. Neither can afford a proper gym membership if they want to make ends meet.

Best believe I meet fitness sales people who don’t make a solid commission due to the #1 excuse, “I can’t justify the price right now”.

I aim to support everyone above, from the LB kiddos with potential to the single parents who’s only community (and perceived method of relaxation) is digital. Guess what, your feed isn’t community and your feed isn’t relaxation. It’s unconscious negativity and conditioning.

Help me create Universal Preventative Care, it’s the closest thing to we’ll get to universal health care in America. Let’s create a world where wellness is a right, not a privilege.

What’s your favorite form of self care? Let us help you pay for it, no strings attached.
